Part 2: Narratives, filters and connecting — what the hell is going on with people?

In Part 1 of this series we covered the foundation of this idea, narratives, filters and connecting. Here we will turn to the personal, and how this comes to be, how we create this naturally and how, in the opinion of a few, our minds organize and set this into motion.
Personal Narrative
Now, there’s one other aspect of narratives to consider, the personal narrative. We all carry to some degree of detail, our own personal narrative, our story, our circumstances, our journey and all of it is contextualized by our point of view.
That point of view part is important, it’s why on one day, something can happen and we react negatively, seeing that happening as bad…while on another day, the same thing can happen and we can react positively, seeing that happening as good.
Building the foundation
There is a field of study, some may consider it a quasi-science, but it does have some interesting things to consider. It’s called NLP — Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It’s an attempt to create a detailed model of the human brain and thought “machine”.
